Kathy Brotherton

Kathy has been a member of First Baptist since Sept. of 1995. She began serving on staff in August 2000. She graduated in 1986, from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Some favorite activities are cooking, baking and sewing but the most enjoyable thing for her is to spend time with her family.

Gary and Kathy have been married for 24 years. Gary is active in ministry here at First Baptist serving as the Director of 55+ Ministry, deacon and a 2nd grade Sunday School teacher. They are blessed with a beautiful family.

Ryan is a Senior at the University of Central Oklahoma majoring in Forensic Science and Criminal Justice. Janae is a Senior at Mustang High School and Adam is in the 3rd grade. Their oldest daughter, Kayla, died as an infant.

Kathy is passionate about serving children and their families. She enjoys each day of ministry. Her goal is to teach children of the enormous amount of love God has for them so they can learn to love Him with all of their hearts. Children’s Ministry is important to raise a generation that loves God, and grows in their relationship with Christ so they can be life long followers of Him.
